AECOM Entry Level Remediation Engineer in Morrisville, North Carolina

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Remediation Engineer for employment in the Morrisville, NC office. The candidate will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water investigative and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation. Field work will be required, with duration and locations to be determined on a project basis. The position responsibilities often involve concurrent work on multiple tasks for independent projects and the pace of work completion must be managed in accordance with independent project schedules and budgets. The position requires a high degree of accountability and collaboration. The ability to avoid and resolve schedule and budget conflicts is necessary.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • BS (MS preferred) in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical engineering necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or Chemical)

  • Strong analytical and communications skiils

  • Ability to travel

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
