Job Description
AECOM's West Region is actively seeking a highly motivated Dams & Mining Engineer III in the Salt Lake City, Utah office .

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead civil engineering design on projects for dams, landfills, mining projects, and power projects.
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
Team with senior staff to deliver presentations, technical proposals, regulatory agency permits.
Prepare technical memoranda and design reports, figures, and drawings.
Coordinate and integrate civil design with results from geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs.
Provide mentoring and leadership to junior engineers.
Support business growth with new and existing clients.
Demonstrate ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Participate actively in client meetings.
Provide periodic construction support (verification of design implementation, adherence to quality, contractor/owner engagement), site inspections, and geotechnical investigations. Also provide construction support from the office by adapting designs to field conditions.
Recognize potential opportunities for additional work within existing projects or for existing clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working on Mining, Dam, Levee or other heavy-civil design projects
Willingness to travel remotely on occasion for construction observation and client meetings (Estimated 10% or less of total time)
Professional Engineering License or EIT (with availability to obtain PE within 1 year).

Offered rate of compensation (Utah locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The target salary range for this position is $75,000-$110,000.
