Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Aviation Intern for employment in the New York, NY office. AECOM is searching for candidates that has the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs and regulations

  • Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans and regulations

  • Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies

  • Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data and occupancy rates

  • Assists in evaluating re-zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances and other proposals

  • Coordinates community review of public and private development projects

  • Provides information to the public regarding development regulations

  • Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues

  • Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessment

In Summary:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

  • Performs entry level work.

  • Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff.

  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Minimum Requirements

Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in related field
