Job Description
AECOM Tishman is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support our exciting technology client. This position will provide APM support across the 5 boroughs of NYC and Westchester. The Construction Assistant Project Manager assists in overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This includes coordinating contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring that all specifications and requirements are met, and adhering to budgets and timelines.
Job Description:
Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
Assists with and monitors change orders
May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BS Engineering, Construction Management or related curriculum and 2 years of relevant commercial construction experience or A/AS (US) + 4 years of related experience or HS/GED + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalent of experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications :
Desire to work and learn in an MEP environment (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2-4 years of experience in interiors mechanical/electrical construction, renovation and retrofitting in commercial construction.
Mechanical experience and MEP.
Prior experience in submittals, meeting minutes, project scope and scheduling.
Ability to interact with many tiers of management on an active construction site.
Ability to work independently.
Experience working in critical environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Procore experience.
Additional Information
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
This position is not hybrid nor remote.
This position requires ability to travel to various sites across NYC.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $37.80/hour - $69.92/hour.
