Job Description
AECOM is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to work with our Americas regions communications team. This role is responsible for developing visually compelling designs that enhance our brand, support internal and external communications campaigns, and communicate key messages effectively across digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong design portfolio, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This position will offer a hybrid work schedule of both in office and remote work and can be based out of, but not limited to: New York City
Key Responsibilities
Design Development: Create engaging graphics, layouts, and visual assets for a variety of channels, including social media, websites, presentations, email banners, newsletter content, collateral, and reports.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive visual identity across all communications.
Digital & Print Production: Prepare high-quality designs optimized for digital distribution.
Social Media & Public Relations Support: Develop eye-catching social media graphics, infographics, and other promotional materials to support content marketing efforts.
Presentation Design: Assist in designing PowerPoint presentations and other visual materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with communications professionals and other designers to translate concepts into compelling visuals.
Photo Editing: Support basic editing and enhancement of images.
Video & Motion Graphics: Support basic editing and enhancement of short-form videos for digital use. Design simple motion graphics like intros and outros and text on screen.
Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 2 years of relevant graphic design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Adobe Express)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications or a related field.
2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a communications or marketing environment.
Knowledge of UI/UX design.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and content management systems (WordPress).
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for visual content.
Basic video editing and motion graphics experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to take creative direction and constructive feedback while bringing fresh ideas to projects.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $38.00/hour - $48.00/hour.
