Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Planning Intern to be based in Orange, CA. AECOM is searching for candidates that has the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

  • Intern 2 – completion of second year of qualified study

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must currently be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Environmental Science or Geography or other related fields

  • Must have completed 2 years of study in the applicable program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of California state environmental regulations (CEQA)

  • Positive outlook and can-do attitude approach to tasks and teamwork

  • Exceptional writing, research, analysis and communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities

  • Efficient and organized worker with a high level of attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
