Job Description
AECOM is hiring a Municipal Roads Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ottawa, ON.
This is a great opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design and deliver municipal road infrastructure projects
Prepare engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specs
Ensure compliance with municipal/provincial design standards
Provide mentorship to junior staff
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client expectations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally 4+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience
EIT in Ontario
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation/Bentley, InRoads/OpenRoads
Knowledge of OPS, TAC, and municipal guidelines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in urban/rural road design, intersections, and active transportation
Able to work independently and in teams
French language skills are considered an asset
Experience working for other Ontario municipalities will be considered an asset.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00.
