Job Description

AECOM Buildings + Places Architectural team are seeking Project Control Interns to join our team. This position can be based out of our Ottawa, ON; Calgary, AB; Edmonton; AB or Winnipeg, MB offices with opportunities for hybrid and remote work.

Job Summary and Major Responsibilities:

AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

In the role of Project Coordinator Intern , we are seeking an individual who will:

  • Under direct supervision, follows standard procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Performs data entry into an electronic document management system.

  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher/more experienced levels.

  • May prepare and maintain project filing system.

  • Assists in the receiving, processing, monitoring, and expediting of internal and external distribution of engineering and supplier documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must currently be in a Bachelors Program in any subject, but we will consider someone possessing any demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Must have completed 3 years of study in a relevant program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Potential candidates must be First Nations Inuit or Metis, and applicants must declare that they are in the application form and our HR management system if successful.

Additional Information

  • Company paid relocation is not available for this position, however we are pleased to offer a flexible work environment with hybrid and remote work options available to accommodate you!

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $23.00/hour - $32.00/hour.
