Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Architecture Designer III to be based in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.
Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Independently analyze and apply solutions to challenging issues within area of expertise by applying critical thinking.
Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
Actively participate in professional or industry organizations as a committee member.
Provide proposed improvements to existing processes and delivering solutions where precedent may not exist.
Perform a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others.
Perform technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures.
Assist with proposals to provide services or obtain funding for projects or programs.
Determine work priorities based on direction from manager and project team leads.
Provide leadership by coordinating work of others.
Interact directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements.
May telecommute.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Interior Environments, Architecture, Interior Design or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
Architectural design;
Revit documentation;
Construction detailing;
Construction administration;
Sustainability Consultant;
Coordination with multiple stakeholders by talking to internal client representatives across real estate team and SME within the construction team;
Coordinating design changes to meet historic requirements in historically certified building for submission of permit set to Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC)s; and
Development of a road map of milestones and recommendations to implement strategies for existing processes to facilitate net zero carbon emissions.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,220.80 - $129,916.80.
