Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our Plymouth office to support our landscape planning and design team. As a member of one of the UK’s largest and most diverse landscape practices, you will take a key role on a range of regionally significant projects, including key regeneration, environmental enhancement and infrastructure schemes; along with opportunities to work on important national and international projects.

This role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a team which is growing and with strong links across many disciplines. You will be offered support to expand your experience and develop your career within a structured, friendly team environment. We will consider applicants with a desire to gain experience in UK based, LVIA and landscape planning work.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job/project accountabilities:

  • Assist in, project management responsibilities, including contractual, financial and programme management under the supervision of senior staff.

  • The ability and personality to establish strong working relationships with other members of the landscape team and internal/ external multi-disciplinary teams across the business.

  • Clear communication, including the ability to write concise technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings and workshops.

  • Be client facing and respond to client requirements.

  • Produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development for LVIA, planning and design projects.

  • Assist in the Compilation of tender submissions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK legal and planning system with respect to landscape architecture.

  • Excellent design skills.

  • Experience or desire to work on high quality landscape and/or townscape and visual impact assessments and appraisals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

  • Experience of some or all of the following: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, or ProjectWise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or Master’s in landscape architecture or equivalent.

  • Full UK driving license.
