Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Architect to be based in our Rocky Hill, CT office.

The Architect will be responsible for the following items:

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations

  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables

  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups

  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required

  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets

  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project

  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel

  • May review and approve conceptual designs

  • Review and enforce specifications in construction administration

  • May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques

  • Field construction administration support to observe construction, produce field reports and benchmark systems and construction

  • Under direction of the Supervising Architect, check and coordinate shop drawings for conformance with field conditions and design documentation

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Architecture or equivalent degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Project production experience, standards and regulations

  • Detailing experience

  • Experience with building codes

  • Experience with transportation and aviation architecture project reviews of design and construction documentation

  • Revit, BIM 360, Navis/Glue expertise required

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed as a registered Architect

  • Aviation and Transit experience

  • NCARB accreditation

  • LEED Accredited Professional

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks on a daily basis

  • Work efficiently and effectively within a team environment

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,222.00 - $125,084.00.
