Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated resident project representative (construction inspector) to join our New England Water Business Line team. The first assignment will be observation of water main replacements in Western Massachusetts starting in April.

The responsibilities of an AECOM Resident Project Representative include, but are not limited to:

  • Visually observe equipment, and supplies delivered to the site of the work regarding general conformance with the contract requirements.

  • Observe the Contractor’s work with respect to quality, suitability and general conformance with the contract requirements.

  • Keep records of construction and installation progress.

  • Prepare and maintain a set of marked prints for use in making record drawings.

  • Make measurements and prepare monthly and final payment computations for work done by the Contractor.

  • Coordinate the services of a testing laboratory, observe on-site testing activities, and review reports of testing laboratories.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred requirements:

  • Previous experience with design and/or construction oversight of water and wastewater utility replacement.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $71,000.00 - $100,000.00.
