Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager – Right of Way to work remotely . However, the client is located in Sacramento, CA and thus it's expected that this individual's working hours be on Pacific Timezone.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will support the efficient execution of projects from start to finish by ensuring timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards are met under the guidance of senior project leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the successful execution of right-of-way (ROW) projects, encompassing property acquisition, land conveyance, easement negotiations, permitting, and reporting.

  • Ensure timely and compliant delivery in alignment with project milestones and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine strategies, policies, procedures, systems, and tools to enhance ROW project execution.

  • Drive operational efficiency and ensure alignment with best practices and organizational goals across all ROW activities.

  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments, consultants, property owners, legal entities, and governmental agencies.

  • Facilitate clear communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide essential support to the ROW Project Manager through data analysis, document preparation, progress reporting, and the coordination of special assignments or high-priority tasks.

  • Assist in the preparation of executive summaries, presentations, and status updates for senior leadership.

  • Ensure all ROW transactions and activities are fully documented, tracked, and compliant with local, state, and federal laws.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to audit readiness and transparency.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in project management with a focus on real property for complex mega-construction projects or projects of similar magnitude

  • Experience with acquisition of right of way, land conveyances, and reporting required to deliver these aspects in a highly complex construction mega-project, commercial principles and their applications, research methods

  • Knowledge of interrelated aspects of real property in a design-build environment with multiple interrelated projects and functional areas.

  • Project Management Professional Certification desired

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $170,000.00.
