Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Rail/Transit Program Manager to work out of our Sacramento Office . This role is hybrid.

JOB SUMMARY:

The appropriately qualified applicant will demonstrate an established career in the rail transit industry and have experience with California transit clients. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of business development, client service, and program management. Experience needs to include the direct management of professional services consulting contracts on major rail transit projects, representing engineering companies that hold prime contracts with rail transit clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITEIS:

  • Supports the Rail/Transit Division for the West Region in the execution of rail/transit contracts for program management, design, and construction management.

  • Manage staff and tasks associated with rail/transit contracts.

  • Support various rail professional services pursuits related to major rail capital programs including light rail, heavy rail, or commuter rail.

  • Manage multidiscipline teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget on multi-million tasks or projects.

  • Lead meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior to mid-level staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of experience in organizational development and leadership; client service management; leading delivery of program management, design, and/or construction management services, and/or business development activities for large-scale transportation/transit clients and/or projects.

  • 5 years of experience in managing the delivery of large complex rail transit projects.

  • Experience must include organizational development and leadership, program management, client service management, design and/or business development activities for large-scale transportation/transit clients and/or projects.

  • Experience must include continuous design management responsibility, including management of design services during construction. The experience must include interfacing with state and local jurisdictions.

  • Track record of increasing market share in the transit sector.

  • A recognized leader in developing and nurturing relationships with key clients.

  • Experience in client pre-positioning activities, team (internal and external) and proposal development, and execution of selection interviews.

  • Recognized business development/client management leader.

  • A team-oriented individual that can work with operations, project and marketing staff of all levels.

  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and business lines for integrated delivery and growth.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated team-building, and internal/external networking skills.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software programs.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $145,481.00 - $269,139.00.
