Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager V to be based in San Diego, CA.
Job Duties include:
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Responsible for administering the project from the pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
Ability to interpret plans and specifications and develop detailed reports and memoranda
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations
Familiarity with NAVFAC and Federal Acquisition Regulations
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
Ability to obtain DBIDS access
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Construction Management or Business Administration
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
Experience with LEED certification processes
Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
Familiarity with contract law and construction litigation
Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies
Proficiency in financial management and cost control
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $230,000.00.
