Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Graduate for employment in the Saskatoon office. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment under the direction of an experienced electrical engineer

  • Applies industry standard practices and techniques in producing engineered solutions to specific project electrical issues

  • Gathers and correlates basic electrical engineering data associated with assigned projects using established and well-defined procedures

  • Exercises judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Reviews the proposed solutions with the responsible engineer and agrees on a path forward

  • Supervisor will screen assignment for unusual or difficult problems and select techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work

  • Employee will receive supervision on new aspects of assignments

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or another related field

  • Understanding of Electrical power systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities including office tenant space, utilities and support facilities. This includes an understanding of electrical system load and short circuit analysis.

  • Understanding of Lighting and lighting control systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities. This includes familiarity with Lighting calculations, occupancy control, and application of state-of-the-art materials to projects.

  • Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code

  • Interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

  • Working knowledge of Revit 2018 and AutoCAD 2018

  • Engineering and Design experience thru Summer Internship with an Engineering Firm
