Job Description
Due to significant contract awards within our ANZ Water business we are expanding our Water Resources Team in South East Queensland (SEQ), these awards bring a secure 10 year pipeline of work, with AECOM’s flexibility, you can base yourself in any of our offices in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Brisbane.
Our Water Resources team provides multi-disciplinary, integrated delivery of water resources services across all industry sectors, particularly in the areas of flood impact assessment, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, drainage design, mine water management and coastal engineering.

What will a day in this role look like:
Work on a variety of projects, leading and delivering flood risk management, flood modelling and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support whilst focusing on technical excellence
Checking and reviewing of project outputs
Preparation of tenders and proposals
Collaborate with a large number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors, ensuring client service satisfaction.
Coach a range of junior professionals, fostering the growth and development of the team.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
Tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering & RPEQ / CPEng (highly regarded)
Strong client focus, high level of motivation and dedication and the ability work well in a team environment as well as independently
Experience or interest in project management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders
Ideally, demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, URBS, 12d, MUSIC, GoldSim, IQQM, Source etc.
Good working knowledge of ARR 2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM.
