Job Description

This role will be working in a professional, highly dynamic and established team of multi-disciplinary professionals as part of the GIS specialist team. The role is for an immediate start, with opportunities to grow as part of the AECOM team supporting major infrastructure projects in NSW and across Australia.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Lead GIS capability within AECOM projects, integrating with Digital Engineering initiatives.

  • Produce high-quality figures, maps, and spatial data analysis.

  • Manage spatial data, ensuring compliance with information management and quality assurance procedures.

  • Develop and deploy web and mobile GIS solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and support to GIS users and project teams.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

What are we looking for from you?

  • 4+ years of GIS experience with ESRI products, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online/Portal.

  • Proficient in spatial data management, analysis, cartography, and data visualization.

  • Strong understanding of geographic concepts, with scripting/programming knowledge highly regarded.

  • Experience in engineering, government, environmental, planning, or infrastructure projects is highly valued.

  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Spatial Science, or a related field preferred, with equivalent experience considered.
