Job Description
This role is primarily responsible to gather project costs and budget details and performs variance analysis, and process necessary accruals in compliance with finance policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
Obtain information to determine unposted fixed assets additions and disposition.
Record fixed assets acquisition and disposition in accounting system.
Identify asset acquisition type, classification, and useful life.
Monitor, validate, and reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger.
Perform reclassification and acceleration of depreciation expense in fixed asset.
Process and record fixed asset transfer, impairment, and retirement.
Prepare journal entries and fixed asset quarterly reporting and listing.
Book labor and Project Pool Capital Project (CIP) entry.
Review current details of capital project.
Escalate issues and concerns to the Team Lead for timely resolution.
Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
Perform simple but varied tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
Assess identified issues and collate documentation to assist in investigating and in resolving common and recurring issues.
Support selected simple process improvement initiatives to streamline proesses.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
Experience working with ERP, e.i., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage, but is not required.
