Position Title Graduate Project Manager Construction Services, The Hague

Currently we are seeking a Graduate to enforce our Project Manager team in The Hague. AECOM has been appointed to deliver the SHELL Retail Capital Development Programme in the Benelux, where we will provide Engineering Procurement and Construction Services in an end to end delivery process with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
AECOM is currently building a dedicated team for this programme. The ideal candidate will become part of a growing Benelux team with offices in The Netherlands (The Hague) and Belgium (Leuven and Ghent).
This position requires significant travel and will split your time between working on the client sites, AECOM office and from home.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Project Manager is a member of the Project Delivery Team reporting to the Operations Manager.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery of all Build Projects, Build Programmes, and Dealer Projects. Project Managers will deliver end to end project services within the programme deadlines with a set of clear performance indicators.
The Project Manager must show a strong track record in operational delivery of HSSE processes and communication; as it is the most important of the KPI’s.
The Project Manager role will require significant client team interaction to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress.
The programme of work is fast moving and extremely demanding; this role will require strong management and leadership skills to motivate contractors and colleagues and provide excellence in execution.
Performance Assessment based on ability to:
Manage the delivery to client and AECOM HSSE requirements
Manage the delivery of projects to the programme
Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budgets
Deliver savings on build projects and Programmes, where applicable
Manage the delivery of dealer projects and programmes to approved time and cost
Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors
Manage the safety messages to the projects and audit to give confidence that safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures
Feedback safety learnings to the Safety Manager to provide continuous learning for the whole team
Provide safety training for operational staff and look for opportunities to give training to the supply chain
Be a Member of the Project Managers Delivery Team charged with delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards
Lead project meetings to deliver all the stages of project development; delivery and close out, for example, scoping visits; design reviews; post tender meetings; cost plan reviews; pre-start meetings; regular site progress meetings; high quality handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits.
Ensure compliance to all brand standards for Dealer projects, while giving the solutions sufficient flexibility to meet the needs of the dealer business
Manage the supply chain partners and ensure that they perform according to required and agreed project execution plans to meet the client’s desired outcome. Ensure that work is delivered within the agreed values of both AECOM and the client.
Master's Degree in Engineering
Full Driving License
Fluent English and Dutch and/or French speaker
Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word
Leadership skills in compliance, ethics and HSSE
Confident and capable individual
Recognized construction or design qualification (or similar experience)
Experience in managing a diverse operational team
Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment
Ability to work under pressure and tight dead-lines
