Job Description
AECOM’s Transportation Division in Markham is seeking a talented and motivated Bridge Design Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Apply strong technical expertise to the design of bridges and transportation structures.
Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for new bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.
Develop rehabilitation designs for existing bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
Coordinate design efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure project success.
Communicate effectively with clients and participate in project meetings.
Maintain a high standard of quality in all deliverables, including reports, specifications, and project documentation.
Work independently or collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
Mentor and supervise junior team members, ensuring high-quality work.
Promptly escalate project issues to the Project Manager and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2+ years of experience in the design of bridges and transportation structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
P.Eng. eligibility in Ontario.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and structural design.
Proficiency in Midas or other structural analysis and design software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $90,000.00.
