We are currently recruiting for a Linear Infrastructures Railway Senior Assistant with experience in roadway (or railway) design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering roadway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work being reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.

  • Performs daily work under designer’s supervision, including geometric design of linear infrastructures (railways)

  • Can set standards and procedures for CAD and 3D works

  • Delivers complex drawings in 2D and 3D along different stages of the design development

  • Assigns and coordinates tasks to other technical or administrative staff, mainly related to drafting or geometrical modelling.

  • May train less experienced staff in preparation of drawing and graphic elements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience working on highway (and/or railway) designs, management of traffic, etc. (+2 years) and clear appetite to develop a technical career on that field.

  • Working experience in geometrical design at least one of the following software packages: InRoads, OpenRoads / OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak, 12d Model

  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).

  • Communicative level of English (oral and written).

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
