The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs and regulations.
Prepares and presents detailed reports to clients.
Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation needs and environmental data.
Participates in public involvement activities.
Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or planning with studies in civil engineering, transportation planning, environmental planning or related field
Proficient in ArcGIS, Excel, MSWord, and PowerPoint or other presentation software
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Software experience with ArcGIS; Adobe Photoshop and Indesign; SketchUP
Knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act NEPA.
Understanding of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) NEPA compliance and procedures as administered by NC Department of Transportation
